Hey, I'm Ember! I'm a freelance character artist from California, USA. My forte is digital art, character design, and anthropomorphism. Check my Trello (linked on the Home page) to see if my commissions are open! Here are some things about me:

It is preferred that potential clients fill out a commission request form (linked on the Home page) to receive a quote, which will be given within 24 hours upon submission, via e-mail or social media. There is no fee for the form or quote, and there is no commitment necessary upon receiving one. My prices are based on time and complexity, and are non-negotiable (see my price guide linked on the Home page). Work will typically begin AFTER payment. The artwork must be paid for in a single payment if the price is $100.99 or under. For commissions $101.00 and over, I offer payment plans (see "Payment Policy"). After certain stages of completion, progress pictures will be sent to ensure the artwork is to the client's satisfaction before it is finalized. When the artwork is in the sketch stage, I can make any changes the client requests; however, once I move onward upon their confirmation, if they request that I undo/rework an hour or more of progress, they will be charged an additional fee (depending upon how much has to be changed).
The number of slots I have available each opening depends on my personal schedule, as I am a part-time artist. My commission slots represent pieces, not clients (so, for example, if there are 4 available slots left, you can commission a maximum of 4 pieces). My turnaround is typically, at minimum, a week, and at maximum, a month.

Clients must provide a DIGITAL reference/concept art of their character(s) to get a quote for every commission type, aside from reference sheets & concept art (in which case, a detailed description, sketches, reference photos, etc. are acceptable). Painted/rendered, traditionally drawn, or heavily compressed references are NOT acceptable. If it's a 3D or cell shaded reference sheet, it MUST have color swatches. If it doesn’t, as a last resort, you may additionally provide flat-color artwork of that character; however, this may not always be acceptable. The ideal character reference is digital (.png), flat color, shows at least two angles, and has color swatches.

I will not work with minors under 13 years of age. Minors 13-17 are welcome to contact me for quotes and information, but may not perform transactions. This must be done by a parent/guardian or someone over the age of 18 on their behalf, as to comply with the policies of the payment methods I offer. Those under the age of 18 may NOT request sexually suggestive/explicit artwork or anything involving nudity from me. No exceptions will be made for those in states/countries where the legal age of adulthood/sexual consent is under 18.

["NSFW" stands for "Not Safe/Suitable For Work," which refers to anything sensitive that isn't intended for a general audience. In this context, it refers to specifically sexual/pornographic content.]

While I have a policy for minors, I recognize that anyone can lie about their age, thus posing a threat to not only me, but to themselves. To discourage this, anyone commissioning NSFW artwork must verify their age by e-mailing me a photo of an official form of identification that includes their year of birth (i.e. driver’s license, government ID, school ID, etc.). Information other than the birth year does not need to be visible, therefore can be covered or censored. To ensure the authenticity of the image, it is asked that the sender's name/username is HANDWRITTEN on a piece of paper and included in the same image. This image is solely for verification, it will not be used for any other purpose.

I currently accept payment through PayPal and Venmo for first-time clients. Returning clients have the option to pay through Cash App.
I offer payment plans for commissions over $100.99. For this, I require a minimum 50% upfront (after which, I'll start work on the sketch only. This payment is non-refundable). The minimum of each subsequent payment is negotiable. The piece will be worked on gradually with each payment, and will not be finalized until after the commission is paid in full. The frequency of payments can be discussed, but the largest acceptable gap between payments is 30 days. If there have been no payments for over 30 days, the artwork will be sent as-is, and any payments made after the initial 50% will be refunded.

No refunds will be issued once the piece has been finalized. If a client is unsatisfied with their unfinished artwork, a partial refund will be issued based upon how much has been completed.

•I do not allow the commercialization of my artwork by anyone other than myself without my expressed written consent. I AM FIRMLY AGAINST THE USE OF MY ARTWORK FOR NFTS OR ANYTHING SIMILAR. NO EXCEPTIONS!
•Do not edit my artwork, whether it was paid for or otherwise, without my permission. This includes applying filters, adding watermarks/signatures, removing my watermark/signature, video edits, recolors, etc.
•Please do not ask another artist to add onto a sketch/lineart commission you got from me (or vice versa, UNLESS you received permission from that artist).
•Do not repost my artwork without my permission if you didn't pay for it, and it doesn't feature a character you own (retweets/reblogs are fine).
•Please do not use my characters and/or artwork to roleplay, unless said artwork is of a character you own.
•Do not set my art as your profile icon/banner if it doesn't belong to you.
•I reserve the right to refuse any request.
•I reserve the right to blacklist anyone if they violate my Terms of Service, or if I deem them unfit for my services based on their behavior or track record with other artists.
